Queenscliff is a seaside resort which is both a popular beachside destination & a sophisticated retreat characterised by elegant hotels, galleries, substantial public buildings, chic restaurants, cafes, a fine golf course, ferries, wide streets faced by terraced houses & surf beaches.

Queenscliff is located at the south-eastern tip of the Bellarine Peninsula. It sits just inside the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, 103 km south of Melbourne & 30 km from Geelong. You can access Queenscliff via Geelong or direct by ferry from Sorrento.

Queenscliff's location on the southern shores of Port Phillip is one of the historic township’s major attractions. Wide sandy beaches & the seaside lifestyle attracts visitors looking to escape the hustle & bustle of city life.

Built largely between 1879 & 1889, Fort Queenscliff was integral to Victoria’s defences. It was constructed when Melburnians, flushed with gold fever, were getting jittery about out-of-towners stealing their booty.

Today, Queenscliff continues to attract visitors from all points of the compass. They come to enjoy the beach, a picnic under the foreshore pines, the village charm or even a game of golf
