Kings Park Perth

Kings park is a great place to get away from it all & its right on the edge of the Perth CBD over looking the city & the Swan River.

It is a combination of Botanic Gardens, Bushland & several memorials.

Near the entrance there is a cafe & visitors centre with information on the whole area.

You can take short walks along the paths near the visitors centre or like me head off on a bush walk. Within a few minutes I was on a trail that was out of sight of the road around the park & I could not hear any noise from the city.

There are many areas to the park including an outdoor show area which was being set up for a concert that night.

Be sure to take a walk up the DNA tower for fun & along the elevated walkway.

Along the way there are signs with information about the plants if that's your thing.

Kings Park is only a short bus or drive from the CBD, if you are keen you can even walk up there.
