Brisbane has a subtropical climate perfect for an outdoor lifestyle. With open parklands, public spaces & the great Brisbane River at its heart, Brisbane is a city that is meant to be enjoyed outdoors.

Exploring Brisbane's heart is easy. The compact city centre is situated on a single bend of the river with museums, galleries & heritage buildings all easily accessible. For a change of pace you can take a river cruise, or visit one of the wildlife sanctuaries located around the greater Brisbane area.

Brisbane's warm evenings are perfect for enjoying the city nightlife. Live music, clubs & bars to suit all tastes can be found across the city. Some of the most popular spots are located in the Riverside quarter, at Caxton Street, & in Fortitude Valley.

The Queensland Performing Arts Complex is the city's cultural hub with three theatres, a concert hall & the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. The program at the Performing Arts Centre includes blockbuster musicals, theatre, ballet, opera & concerts.

Take the short walk from South Bank across the Victoria Bridge to Brisbane's city centre. The heart of the city is the Queen Street Mall,  a lively public space with a blend of historical & contemporary architecture. A great place to enjoy lunch in the sun & be entertained by buskers.

The inner city arts precinct of New Farm, Newstead & Fortitude Valley is a mix of renovated warehouse lofts & new apartments, as well as older apartment blocks & restored historic homes.

Moreton Bay, less than half an hour from the city centre offers a variety of water sports in a quiet beachside village environment. The famous beaches and resorts of the Sunshine & Gold Coasts are just over one hour's drive away.
