Most people know Picton as the South Island port of the inter-island ferry service but it has so much more to offer that just a coffee or some fish & chips before catching the ferry. Picton is located on Queen Charlotte Sound, the largest of the sounds that make up the Marlborough Sounds. Picton is the starting point for visitors to the Marlborough Sounds & the arrival point for travellers from the North Island as they explore the district of Marlborough. Picton offers a relaxed environment with beautiful beaches, a variety of bush walks & a pleasant climate.

The area's activities include bush walks such as the famous Queen Charlotte Track, Dolphin Watching, fishing & views to take your breathe away. The Queen Charlotte Track stretches between the Queen Charlotte & Keneperu Sounds. It is a 71km track renowned for its stunning views, landscape, landmarks, native bush & wildlife.
The District of Marlborough can be found at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. The town of Blenheim is the heart of the province's commercial & suburban life. Picton is to the north is Picton & south along the coast road is Kaikoura, the whale-watching capital of the world. Marlborough attractions include its wine industry, gourmet foods, adventure activities & much more.
