Darwin is the
international gateway to the Northern Territory. A modern city with superb
harbour views. Darwin has a chequered past involving explorers, a railway,
droving, mining & defence all of which are reflected in the present city.

Darwin Harbour (
twice the size of Sydney Harbour) is home to a wide variety of tropical fish,
including barramundi, dolphins, turtles, sea snakes &
crocodiles.
Australia's only tropical capital city boasts a population of 77,000 with about
20,000 more in the combined satellite city of Palmerston & the surrounding
rural area. Approximately half the Northern Territory population live within a
40km radius of Darwin.

Within easy reach of the
city are a wide variety of attractions. One of the most outstanding is the multi
award winning Territory Wildlife Park. Lake Bennett, The Lakes
Resort & Windows on the Wetlands provide further diversity.

It may be the city's relaxed lifestyle, the magnet of its attractions, the
haunting majesty of the monsoonal storms, or the smell of the tropics, but
people who experience Darwin never forget it.
