Victoria is the capital of British Columbia & is located on the south tip of Vancouver Island. Victoria is well known for its Heritage homes & breathtaking inner harbour area. Much of Victoria's downtown area has been restored to original facades

Victoria is a short ferry ride from Vancouver & is a major tourism destination with more than 3.5 million visitors a year & is a cruise ship port. Downtown Victoria is where many of the night clubs, theatres, restaurants & pubs are loacated.

Downtown is also home to the British Columbia Legislative Buildings, Victoria Police Department Museum, the Royal British Columbia Museum, Royal London Wax Museum, Victoria Bug Zoo, Market Square & the Pacific Undersea Gardens. 

 

 

 

 

Beacon Hill Park is the central city's main urban green space & includes playing fields, gardens, exotic species of plants, a petting zoo & views of the Olympic mountain range. 

North of the city is Butchart Gardens as well as the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, Victoria Butterfly Gardens & Centre of the Universe planetarium. There are also many Historic Sites close to Victoria including the Fisgard Lighthouse, Hatley Castle & Fort Rodd Hill, which is a coastal artillery fort built in the late 1890s.
