Vancouver is a city
that retains strong connections to the mighty elements of sea & mountains that surround it. Its moderate climate
& natural beauty have made it a
popular destination.

Although its history is tied to the development of British Columbia's natural resources, most residents
are lured here by the magnificent setting.
Greater Vancouver has
much to offer, test your fear of heights at one of
the great lookout points. Ride the aerial tramway to the top of 1,250m Grouse Mountain, or "float" to the top of Harbour Centre
in a glass elevator for great photo opportunities. Stroll across the Capilano
Suspension Bridge, 70 m above the Capilano River, or the slightly
smaller Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge above Lynn Canyon will also have you
walking on air as you hover above the forest of evergreen trees.

Back on
firm ground, be sure to explore Greater Vancouver's endless parks & gardens.
Bike, jog, or roller blade through Stanley Park, Canada's largest city park
&
home to the Vancouver Aquarium, or walk along the beaches at Kitsilano, English
Bay, Jericho & Crescent Park for a great view of the boats coming &
going.

The Lions Gate
Bridge is the link between Vancouver's downtown area & the North Shore which
includes North Vancouver City & the Districts of North Vancouver & West
Vancouver.
Head downtown to see what excitement is
all about: Grab a bite to eat at one of the many ethnic restaurants in the area, or
shop 'til you drop in the fashion boutiques on Robson Street, & the
gift shops in historic Gastown & Chinatown. Get lost in the maze of stores in
Pacific Centre, or wander from the hub of downtown to enjoy the friendly
atmosphere of the markets on Granville Island, Lonsdale Quay, & New
Westminster.
History buffs enjoy visiting heritage sites like the Gulf
of Georgia Cannery in Steveston, the Heritage Village & Carousel in Burnaby
& the many museums in Greater Vancouver.
